About Us
Raising Bison is Our Passion
Our Story
For over 30 years, Pat and Rebecca Ries have been raising bison. Tucked into the rolling hills of Mount Calvary, Wisconsin, their farm sprawls across over 100 acres of lush green grass. Pat (formally trained as a Civil Engineer) and Rebecca (an Agronomist) combined their unique skillset to begin raising the animals in the early 1990s. They are passionate about restoring bison populations to what they once were through their practice of sustainable farming and spreading the word about this amazing animal.

In the summer of 2021, Pat and Rebecca's granddaughter - Isabella Tondi - graduated from UW-Madison (where she studied Agronomy) and moved to Nebraska to work on a bison ranch. In the fall of 2023, Isabella moved to Fond du Lac to begin working with her grandparents.

Along with farming, both Pat and Isabella are on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Bison Producers Association. Learn more about the association here.
